GULFSTREAM EXPANDS LONG-TERM
NATURAL GAS
TRANSPORTATION SERVICE TO TAMPA ELECTRIC
TAMPA, Fla. - Gulfstream Natural Gas System, L.L.C. began providing
transportation service to Tampa Electric this week under a new long-term
firm service agreement. The new contract provides up to 48,000 dekatherms
per day (Dth/d) to serve the H.L. Culbreath Bayside power generation
facility in Hillsborough County, Fla.
TECO intends to construct a 28-mile pipeline from its Bayside generation
facility to receive gas from Gulfstream's mainline in Manatee County,
Fla. Until the lateral is completed in 2007, TECO will use the transportation
capacity under the service agreement to receive gas from other delivery
points.

in Gulfstream to provide this rapidly growing market with reliable,
dependable natural gas service for the next two decades," said
Brad Reese, Gulfstream vice president. "With this Tampa Electric
contract, Gulfstream continues to serve the Florida market's natural
gas needs and is now more than 70 percent subscribed by long-term
firm commitments."
